Blake Lively used dating manual 'The Rules' to snare DiCaprio

London, Aug 10 : Blake Lively is said to have followed the advice of best-selling dating manual ‘The Rules’ by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider in 1995, to win over Leonardo DiCaprio.

Following the rules of attraction, the 23-year-old American actress worked very hard to win the ‘Titanic’ star, by not calling him, making him jealous and acting “busy”.

“Blake loves dating book The Rules and has been following it to the letter,” the Daily Mail quoted a friend of Lively as telling Now magazine.

“She knew Leo could have any girl he wanted and she figured she had to stand out from the crowd,” the friend added.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ star even made sure that DiCaprio, 36, broke up with his supermodel girlfriend Bar Refaeli first before dating her.

“Blake told him he had to break up with Bar before she’d even go on a date with him, so he did. She’s making him work for it - and he’s fallen hard for her,” the source added.

Dicaprio Hollywood's highest paid actor: Forbes

London, Aug 2: Leonardo DiCaprio has been named the highest-paid actor in Hollywood by Forbes magazine after his movies "Shutter Island" and "Inception" did well at the box-office and he earned $77 million last year.

This is the first time that Forbes has named DiCaprio as the highest paid actor.

The 36-year-old has pushed "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp to second spot. Adam Sandlar is at third place, reports contactmusic.com.

Will Smith and Tom Hanks are at fourth and fifth places respectively.

Dicaprio earned almost twice as much as Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker, who tied for first place in the Forbes list of Hollywood top earning female stars.

DiCaprio may star with Beyonce in Eastwood's 'A Star Is Born'

Washington, June 28 : It has emerged that director Clint Eastwood is in talks with Leonardo DiCaprio to convince him to star opposite singer Beyonce Knowles in the remake of ‘A Star Is Born’.

According to Deadline.com reports, the ‘Inception’ star is currently working with Clint Eastwood on the biopic ‘J. Edgar’, reports Contactmusic.

However, the Oscar winning director is hoping to convince DiCaprio to act in the movie about an aspiring singer who falls for an older rock star. 

Though, the ‘Titanic’ star is not known for his singing abilities, Beyonce has the experience of working in movie musical ‘Dreamgirls’ based on a trio of black female soul singers in 2006.

Eastwood’s will be the fourth remake of the movie, with Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson starring in the most recent version in 1976.

Earlier, Judy Garland and James Mason played the lovers in 1954 while the original flick featured Janet Gaynor and Frederic March.
