Emily Jean "Emma" Stone (born November 6, 1988) is an American actress. Stone was a cast member of the TV series Drive, and made her feature film debut in the comedy Superbad (2007). She appeared in The House Bunny (2008) and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009). She then starred in the horror-comedy Zombieland and the indie comedy Paper Man in 2009. In 2010, Stone voiced the character Mazie in Marmaduke, and starred in the high school comedy Easy A, which earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

Stone joined the voice cast of The Croods, a 3D computer animated caveman comedy by DreamWorks Animation. She will voice the role of Eep, the oldest daughter of Grug (Nicolas Cage) and Ugga (Catherine Keener). Ryan Reynolds voices Gy, the love interest to Stone's character. The film is scheduled for release on March 30, 2012.

She stars in the comedic short film, "Veronica," alongside Kieran Culkin, directed by Griffin Dunne. The short is a comedy segment that is part of an anthology film called Movie 43, featuring Kate Winslet, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman, Uma Thurman, Halle Berry, and others. The feature-film was produced by the Farrelly brothers and directed by Elizabeth Banks, Steven Brill and Steve Carr.

Stone will star as the female lead in The Amazing Spider-Man, a reboot by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment of the Spider-Man film series. She plays Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker's love interest, in the Marc Webb-directed film; a release date of July 3, 2012, has been set. The film went into production in December 2010, and is scheduled to last through April 2011.Stone was considered for the lead in a reboot of 21 Jump Street, alongside Superbad co-star Jonah Hill. She did not take the role however, after signing on to Spider-Man. Stone will again work with writer/director Will Gluck, starring in and executive producing an untitled comedy for Screen Gems.

Stone joined the cast of The Gangster Squad, a film by Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer. She will again play opposite Ryan Gosling in the ensemble crime drama, which also stars Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi and Michael Peña. Stone plays Jean, a femme fatale caught in a love triangle with Gosling and Penn's character, mobster Mickey Cohen.

She was a member of the Valley Youth Theatre while growing up, a regional theater in Phoenix, Arizona, where she appeared in her first stage production, The Wind in the Willows, at the age of 11. Stone attended Sequoya Elementary School and then Cocopah Middle School for sixth grade. She was home schooled for two years, at which time she appeared in 16 productions at Valley Youth Theatre, including: A Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Tail, The Princess and the Pea, Cinderella, The Wiz, Titanic, Honk!, The Little Mermaid, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Alice in Wonderland, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and performed with the theater's improv comedy troupe.

Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde: new faces of Revlon

Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde have red hot careers right now which makes it very suiting for them to be the newest faces of Revlon.

Both actresses were just announced as global brand ambassadors, states Just Jared. The two will be in the new ad campaign that will reportedly start in early 2012 and couldn’t be more excited.

“Revlon recognizes that every woman is multifaceted and magnificent in their own way and the expression of individuality is as important to Revlon as it is to me,” Stone commented.

Wilde felt similarly about the chance to partner with Revlon: “Creatively, Revlon has never been afraid to push the envelope, which is important to me."

Emma Stone knew nothing of 'Spider Man' before she starred in it!

Washington, August 2 : Emma Stone has revealed that she hardly knew anything about 'Spider Man' before signing up to star in the movie.

Stone, 22, said she didn't know much about the movie and its characters, except the fact that boys used to dress up as the superhero during Halloween.

The actress, who is playing Gwen Stacy in the forthcoming 'The Amazing Spider-Man' prequel, revealed she had to do her research to understand more about the Marvel comic universe, as her only experience was Halloween-based.

"I didn't know too much about Spider-Man other than watching the first three movies and every Halloween spending time with boys who were dressed up as him!" Contactmusic quoted her as telling Empire Online.

"I definitely wanted to learn about Spider-Man and Gwen and also about the Marvel universe and the world I was about to enter into," she added.

Emma Stone wants internship at bakery

London, July 7 : Actress Emma Stone always wanted to be a professional baker. So now she is planning to intern at a New York cake shop to fulfill her dream.

The 22-year-old enjoys creating sweet treats in her spare time. She is so drawn into the craft that she wants to learn more about it from people in the trade, says her "The Amazing Spider-Man" co-star Andrew Garfield.

"The thing that sums her up for me is she wants to be a baker. She's serious about it," dailystar.co.uk quoted Garfield as saying.

Some of the most revealing photos yet from the New York set of The Amazing Spider-Man have been snapped, courtesy of college student J. Anthony Hall, who uploaded the following images to his Twitter account.



As you can see, the first shot represents our first good look at Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. The green sock around his right arm is so that his hand can either be removed in post-production or replaced with the special effect onset of his scaly alter-ego.



Though it's a bit hard to make out, the second photo also offers our first look at Martin Sheen as Ben Parker and the others feature Andrew Garfield and director Marc Webb.



The Amazing Spider-Man also stars Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan and Sally Field. It opens in 3D and 2D theaters on July 3, 2012.
